Job Description
Horizon Prime Hospital is looking for a qualified and experienced Pathologist to join our diagnostic services team. The candidate will be responsible for reporting laboratory investigations, ensuring quality standards, supervising laboratory operations, and supporting clinicians with accurate and timely diagnostic services.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and report pathology and laboratory investigations accurately and timely
- Supervise laboratory operations and ensure smooth functioning of the department
- Ensure adherence to NABL, NABH, and infection control protocols
- Coordinate with consultants and clinicians regarding diagnostic findings
- Monitor quality control procedures and laboratory documentation
- Guide and supervise laboratory technicians and support staff
- Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation activities
- Ensure proper maintenance of laboratory records and reporting systems
- Maintain confidentiality, ethical practices, and patient safety standards
- Support emergency reporting and hospital diagnostic requirements
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in pathology and diagnostic laboratory services
- Hospital experience will be preferred
Qualification
- MD / DNB Pathology from a recognized institution
- Valid MMC/NMC registration
Preference
- Candidates residing near Thane will be preferred
