Role Overview
We are looking for a 3-month AEO/GEO Marketing Intern to support our marketing team in improving brand visibility across AI-powered search platforms and answer engines.
This role is ideal for someone who is curious about how people search using AI tools, how platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews generate answers, and how content can bestructured to appear in those answers.
The intern will work on research, prompt tracking, competitor visibility analysis, answer-oriented content improvement, and documentation to support our AEO and GEO initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Research customer questions, conversational queries, and intent-based search patterns relevant to our products, services, and industry.
- Track how AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews respond torelevant prompts and queries. Identify where our brand, competitors, and industry sources appear in AI-generated answers.
- Support the creation and improvement of answer-first content such as FAQs, short answer blocks,comparison sections, summaries, and service-page content.
- Assist in preparing AEO/GEO content briefs based on user intent, prompt testing, and competitor visibility patterns.
- Maintain prompt tracking sheets, query research sheets, competitor analysis documents, and AI visibility reports.
- Help identify content gaps where our website can provide clearer, more useful, and more answer ready information.
- Support proof-based content development by organizing facts, sources, examples, use cases, and trust signals for content pages.
- Document learnings, experiments, and repeatable AEO/GEO processes for future execution.
Required AEO/GEO Understanding
- Understanding of how answer engines and AI-led search platforms generate responses.
- Ability to identify question-based, conversational, and decision-making queries. Awareness of AEO concepts such as direct answers, FAQs, featured snippets, People Also Ask, and zero-click search.
- Awareness of GEO concepts such as AI answer visibility, brand mentions, source credibility, citations, entity relevance, and content retrievability.
- Ability to compare AI-generated responses and identify visibility patterns across different platforms.
- Understanding of how content structure affects discoverability in AI and search results.
- Ability to think beyond keywords and focus on user intent, answer quality, clarity, and trust.
Preferred Skills
- Strong research and structured documentation ability.
- Good writing ability with a focus on clear, concise, answer-oriented content.
- Comfort using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google Search.
- Ability to work with spreadsheets, research trackers, and content briefs.
- Interest in AI-led search behavior, digital visibility, content systems, and marketing execution.
Basic SEO or content marketing knowledge will be helpful but is not the main focus.
