Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily production activities in the machine shop.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within planned schedules.
- Assist in CNC, VMC, HMC, and conventional machining operations.
- Prepare and maintain production reports and documentation.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Planning departments.
- Monitor machine utilization and minimize downtime.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support implementation of Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices.
- Help identify process improvements to increase productivity.
- Ensure safety guidelines are followed on the shop floor.
- Monitor tool life and assist in tool management.
- Support root cause analysis for production and quality issues.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of machining processes.
- Understanding of CNC machining concepts.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Basic understanding of GD&T (preferred).
- Knowledge of production planning fundamentals.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
