As an Internet Technician at Global Speed Broadband, you are responsible for the installation, maintenance, and high-precision repair of fiber and copper-based internet services for residential and commercial clients.
Core Responsibilities Fiber Splicing & Termination: Perform fusion or mechanical splicing of fiber optic cables to ensure low-loss connectivity. Handle delicate glass fibers, prepare cables, and use cleavage tools and splice enclosures. Installation: Run interior/exterior wiring and install Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) such as modems, ONT units, and routers. Troubleshooting: Use OTDRs, signal meters, and light sources to locate and repair faults in the network. Customer Service: Educate users on Wi-Fi optimization and hardware management.
