About the Role This role is part of the WI QE group, supporting development of automation capabilities, including execution of the automation road map, and working with team members to develop infrastructure and tools. The primary objective is to enable the WI business, working with IT business partners in a well-integrated way, focusing on automated testing of all layers of software application and building an end-to-end test automation suite for Mainframe system.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business and systems requirements into technical requirements for automation and software tools & framework.
- Design, develop, document, and maintain automated tests and software tools.
- Actively contribute to the day-to-day planning, design, execution, and reporting of automation metrics and KPI’s.
- Adhere to software engineering principles in development of automation software.
- Understand and apply test-driven/behavior-driven design concepts to test and debug automated solutions.
- Deliver accurate and maintainable code for automated test suite and software utilities.
- Collaborate with other technical resources to suggest improvements for processes, best practices, and standards.
- Measure and report key QE metrics.
- Perform accessibility testing on web browser pages.
Requirements
- Have 6-8 years of experience predominantly in software test/Quality Engineering.
- Possess experience in Mainframe Systems testing, including CICS Screen, VSAM Files, JCL, DB2, and SPUFI.
- Have deep expertise in analyzing batch job outputs and backend data, including DB2 and VSAM.
- Be proficient in Jenkins/GitHub Actions (CI/CD Pipelines) and have strong SQL skills.
- Be well-versed with QE Best Practices, such as Test Suite Management, Traceability, and Defect lifecycle Management.
- Have hands-on experience with Java programming and experience with Playwright, Selenium, etc.
- Have a good understanding of BDD, CI-CD, and DevOps concepts.
Good to Have
- Experience in validating RESTful web services with automation.
- Experience in validating Event-Based Architecture using automation.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright and Karate.
