Job Summary
Powermax Fitness is seeking an experienced Import & Export Manager to oversee all import, export, and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will ensure timely clearance of shipments, compliance with international trade regulations, cost optimization, and seamless coordination between suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, warehouses, and internal departments.
Key ResponsibilitiesImport Management
- Manage the complete import process from Purchase Order to warehouse delivery.
- Coordinate with overseas suppliers for shipment planning and documentation.
- Ensure timely booking of sea and air shipments.
- Monitor shipment schedules and minimize delays.
- Review commercial invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, insurance, and other shipping documents.
- Coordinate customs clearance with CHA and freight forwarders.
- Monitor demurrage, detention, and port charges to minimize additional costs.
- Track container movement until final warehouse delivery.
Export Management
- Handle export documentation and shipment execution.
- Coordinate with international customers and logistics partners.
- Ensure compliance with destination country regulations.
- Manage export incentives and statutory documentation where applicable.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, GST, IEC, FEMA, and other applicable regulations.
- Maintain complete import and export documentation.
- Coordinate with banks for LC, TT payments, and shipping documents.
- Maintain records for audits and statutory requirements.
Logistics & Freight Management
- Negotiate freight rates with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
- Compare logistics costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Plan container utilization and shipment consolidation.
- Monitor transit times and improve delivery performance.
Inventory & Supply Planning
- Work with the procurement team to maintain optimum inventory levels.
- Plan imports based on sales forecasts and reorder levels.
- Prevent stock-outs while minimizing excess inventory.
- Support new product launches through effective import planning.
Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly shipment status reports.
- Monitor import costs, freight expenses, duty payments, and landed cost.
- Maintain shipment trackers and KPI dashboards.
- Present MIS reports to management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, Commerce, or a related field.
- Additional certification in Import-Export Management is preferred.
- 2- 3 years of relevant experience in import/export operations.
- Experience in handling shipments from China and other international markets is preferred.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (such as Tally, Vinculum, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
