ROLE OVERVIEW
The IC3 Movement is looking for a creative and driven Content Marketing & Social Media Specialist to help tell our story across digital platforms.
This role is ideal for someone with 3–4 years of experience creating compelling content, managing social media communities, and writing high-quality long-form content including blogs, newsletters, and email campaigns. You should have an instinct for storytelling, understand how to create content that drives engagement, and be comfortable managing content calendars across multiple channels.
While familiarity with SEO best practices is valuable, the primary focus of this role is creating impactful content that strengthens the IC3 Movement's voice, builds community, and advances our mission.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Social Media Strategy & Management
- Manage the IC3 Movement's presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, and YouTube.
- Create, publish, schedule, and monitor engaging social media content.
- Build and maintain content calendars aligned with campaigns, events, and organizational priorities.
- Monitor conversations, engage with the community, and identify opportunities to increase audience engagement and growth.
Content Creation & Storytelling
- Write compelling content across formats, including social media posts, blogs, newsletters, email campaigns, website copy, and thought leadership articles.
- Translate ideas, events, and organizational initiatives into engaging stories for diverse audiences.
- Develop content that reflects the IC3 Movement's voice and strengthens its position as a global thought leader in education and student guidance.
Email Marketing & Editorial Content
- Create and manage email communications, newsletters, and campaign content.
- Plan and execute editorial calendars for blogs and long-form content.
- Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and quality across all written communications.
Campaign Support
- Develop content for digital campaigns promoting conferences, webinars, initiatives, partnerships, and community engagement activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create integrated campaigns across social media, email, and web platforms.
Analytics & Performance
- Track social media and email performance using platform analytics.
- Use engagement data and audience insights to refine content strategies and improve performance.
- Prepare regular reports highlighting key metrics and recommendations.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with the Outreach, Events, Partnerships, Operations, and Leadership teams to create content that supports organizational goals.
- Coordinate with designers and external partners to produce visually engaging digital content.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Required Skills:
· Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and platforms.
· Strong experience managing social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn and Instagram.
· Experience writing long-form content such as blogs, newsletters, articles, email campaigns, and website copy.
· Strong understanding of social media content planning, audience engagement, and content performance.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills with a keen eye for detail.
· Ability to interpret analytics and use insights to improve content performance.
Preferred Skills
· Working knowledge of SEO principles, keyword research, and content optimization.
· Familiarity with basic digital marketing and paid social campaigns.
· Experience working with content management systems (CMS) and website publishing.
· Basic design sensibility and experience collaborating on visual content.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Media, or a related discipline.
Experience
3–4 years of professional experience in content marketing, social media management, editorial writing, or digital communications.
Experience within higher education, education technology, non-profit organizations, or mission-driven organizations will be an advantage.
