We are looking for a passionate and experienced Fashion Design Trainer to train students in fashion design concepts, garment construction, pattern making, textile knowledge, and industry practices. The trainer should be able to deliver practical and theoretical sessions while preparing students for careers in the fashion industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct classroom and practical training sessions in Fashion Design.
- Teach pattern making, garment construction, draping, and sewing techniques.
- Train students in fashion illustration and portfolio development.
- Guide students in fabric selection, textile science, and color theory.
- Conduct workshops, demonstrations, and practical assignments.
- Assess student performance through assignments and practical evaluations.
- Maintain attendance, training records, and student progress reports.
- Prepare lesson plans and training materials.
- Mentor students for internships, competitions, and placements.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of sewing machines and lab equipment.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of fashion design principles and garment construction.
- Proficiency in pattern making and draping.
- Knowledge of fabrics, textiles, and fashion trends.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to handle practical training sessions.
- Basic knowledge of fashion software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or CorelDRAW is an added advantage.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching or industry experience.
- Freshers with excellent practical skills and communication may also apply.
