Quality Control (QC) Inspector
Job Summary:
A QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products, materials, and processes meet company quality standards and customer specifications. They inspect, test, and evaluate products during and after production to identify defects, maintain compliance, and support continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Conduct visual inspections and measurements using testing equipment and tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Record inspection results and prepare quality reports.
- Identify defects, non-conformities, and quality issues.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
- Maintain calibration records for inspection tools and equipment.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and warehouse teams.
- Assist in audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred).
- Experience in quality control, manufacturing, or inspection.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001.
- Ability to use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, food processing, or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and statistical process control (SPC).
- Certification in quality inspection or quality assurance is an advantage.
Working Conditions:
- Work may involve standing for long periods.
- May require lifting materials or working in production environments.
- Shift work and overtime may be required depending on production schedules.
