Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our service team in Solapur. In this role, you will be responsible for the inspection, diagnostic testing, repair, and preventive maintenance of diesel engines and heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and a strict commitment to workplace safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Conduct diagnostic tests on diesel engines, fuel injection systems, and mechanical components to pinpoint faults accurately.
- Repair & Overhauling: Repair, replace, or overhaul defective engine parts, pistons, valves, fuel pumps, and cooling systems.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, belt adjustments, and system checks to prevent equipment downtime.
- Technical Compliance: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and keep detailed records of all serviced equipment via history cards or service reports.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Strictly adhere to workplace safety standards (including proper handling of tools and keeping the workshop clean and hazard-free).
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: ITI in Diesel Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Mechanic (MMV), or a Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of diesel engine internal mechanics, fuel systems, and electrical troubleshooting related to engines.
- Tools: Proficiency in handling hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and basic electronic diagnostic scanners.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving mindset, punctuality, and ability to coordinate effectively with the team and clients.
- Language: Knowledge of Marathi and Hindi is highly preferred for local coordination.
