About the Role
We are looking for a highly patient and dedicated Trainer & Assessor for an entirely online, 45-day intensive boot camp. The goal is to teach e-commerce and Shopify development to students from Tier-4 cities, taking them from absolute beginners to job-ready individuals.
Since our students come from rural and semi-urban backgrounds, you must have the empathy and patience to break down complex technical concepts into simple, easily digestible steps.
Key Responsibilities
- Online Training: Conduct daily live, online classes on Shopify store creation and e-commerce setups over a strict 45-day schedule.
- Track Verticals: Monitor and assess student performance across all key areas:
- Frontend: HTML, CSS, and basic Shopify Liquid.
- Store Backend: Product cataloging, inventory setup, and app integrations.
- Operations: Payment gateways, shipping configuration, and basic SEO.
- Assessments: Run weekly practical tests and grade a final project where students launch a fully functional store.
- Patient Mentorship: Guide students who are new to advanced digital platforms, hand-holding them through technical roadblocks.
Requirements & Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience building and managing Shopify stores.
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic Liquid/JavaScript.
- Knowledge of the e-commerce ecosystem (payment gateways, shipping apps, tracking pixels).
- Ability to maintain clear digital records of student tracking and performance data.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3+ years of experience as a Shopify Developer, E-commerce Professional, or Technical Instructor.
- Extreme patience: Proven ability to teach and support beginners or students with limited initial tech exposure.
- Excellent local/vernacular language skills to explain technical terms easily, alongside English.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a proper laptop/PC setup for uninterrupted online teaching.
