Key Responsibilities
Inspect incoming raw materials, components, and purchased parts according to specifications.
Perform in-process and final inspection of manufactured products.
Verify product dimensions using instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and gauges.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and inspection standards.
Prepare and maintain inspection reports, quality records, check sheets, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Identify defects, deviations, and quality problems and ensure proper segregation and identification of rejected material.
Monitor production processes and work with production teams to prevent recurring quality issues.
Conduct first-piece, patrol, and final inspections as required.
Use appropriate measuring and testing equipment and ensure equipment calibration status is valid.
Support investigation of quality problems using 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D, CAPA, and other root-cause-analysis tools.
Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Stores, and Supplier Quality teams to resolve quality issues.
Verify corrective and preventive actions for effectiveness.
Assist during customer, internal, and external audits.
Ensure compliance with applicable ISO and company quality procedures.
Train and guide junior inspectors on inspection methods and quality requirements.
Maintain good housekeeping and follow safety and quality procedures.
Monitor and report quality performance, rejection, rework, and process deviations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, or related engineering field.
Typically 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing quality inspection, depending on the organization.
Good knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T.
Experience with dimensional inspection and measuring instruments.
Knowledge of ISO 9001, 7 QC tools, 5 Why, CAPA, NCR, and 8D.
Ability to identify defects and analyze their causes.
Good documentation and reporting skills.
Ability to work effectively with production and cross-functional teams.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel and quality management systems.
job timing: 8:30 am to 8:30 pm.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
