District Coordinator
Project: Rural Women Entrepreneurship Programme (Udyamini – Livestock Value Chain)
Position Summary
The District Coordinator will lead the implementation of the Rural Women Entrepreneurship Programme (Udyamini – Livestock Value Chain) at the district level. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring project interventions aimed at strengthening women's entrepreneurship through sustainable livestock-based livelihoods, enterprise development, market linkages, and institutional capacity building. The role requires close collaboration with government departments, financial institutions, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of district-level project activities in accordance with approved work plans, project milestones, and donor requirements.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to Project Executives and other field personnel to ensure effective project execution.
- Facilitate the identification, mobilization, and strengthening of women entrepreneurs, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), producer groups, and community institutions engaged in livestock-based enterprises.
- Coordinate livestock value chain interventions, including production enhancement, enterprise development, input supply, market access, and business promotion.
- Establish and maintain effective partnerships with district administration, line departments, financial institutions, veterinary services, market actors, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress through regular field visits, review meetings, and performance assessments, ensuring quality implementation and timely achievement of project targets.
- Organize capacity-building programmes, technical trainings, exposure visits, and entrepreneurship development initiatives for beneficiaries and field teams.
- Ensure accurate project documentation, beneficiary records, MIS updates, and timely submission of technical and financial progress reports.
- Identify implementation challenges, assess project risks, and recommend corrective measures to improve programme performance.
- Document best practices, success stories, and lessons learned to support project learning and knowledge management.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor guidelines, and statutory requirements.
- Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Reporting Officer.
Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications in Rural Development, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Social Work, Management, or allied disciplines.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in project coordination, rural livelihoods, women empowerment, livestock development, value chain development, or community-based development programmes.
- Experience in supervising field teams and implementing NGO, CSR, or donor-funded projects will be preferred.

- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project timelines.
- Willingness to undertake extensive travel within the assigned district.
