Position Summary
Levanza Food and Herbals is seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager – Factory Operations to lead and oversee all manufacturing, production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and operational activities of the factory. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient production of food and herbal products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, compliance, productivity, and cost control.
The General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve business objectives, optimize factory performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Factory Operations Management
- Lead and manage day-to-day factory operations, ensuring smooth and efficient production processes.
- Develop and implement production plans to meet business targets and customer requirements.
- Monitor production performance, capacity utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining quality standards.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with food safety, herbal product regulations, GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, ISO, and other applicable standards.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams to maintain product quality.
- Oversee audits, inspections, certifications, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality improvements.
Team Leadership & Human Resource Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop departmental heads and factory staff.
- Establish performance objectives and monitor employee productivity.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Support workforce planning, recruitment, training, and employee development.
Supply Chain & Inventory Management
- Coordinate with procurement, stores, and logistics teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Optimize inventory levels of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Minimize wastage and improve inventory accuracy.
Maintenance & Engineering
- Ensure proper maintenance of plant machinery, equipment, and utilities.
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
- Drive equipment reliability and operational excellence initiatives.
Financial & Cost Management
- Prepare and manage factory budgets and operational expenditures.
- Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability through process optimization.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Promote a zero-accident culture within the factory.
- Conduct regular safety reviews and risk assessments.
Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and productivity enhancement.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives where applicable.
- Prepare and present operational reports to senior management.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field.
- MBA or Master's Degree preferred.
- Certifications in GMP, HACCP, ISO, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma will be an advantage.
Experience
- 5–10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in the food, nutraceutical, herbal, FMCG, or pharmaceutical industry.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior factory leadership role such as Plant Head, Factory Manager, Operations Head, or General Manager.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale manufacturing operations and cross-functional teams.
