Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Billing Engineer to manage project billing, quantity estimation, client invoicing, subcontractor billing, and cost tracking for civil construction projects. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, measurement sheets, and billing procedures for infrastructure, commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify RA bills (Running Account Bills) and final bills for clients and subcontractors.
- Review BOQ (Bill of Quantities), tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and site measurements.
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, measurements, and billing documentation.
- Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, consultants, and clients for bill certification.
- Prepare reconciliation statements for material consumption and project quantities.
- Monitor project costs, variations, extra items, and change orders.
- Ensure timely submission and certification of invoices and bills.
- Prepare rate analysis for non-BOQ and extra works.
- Track project progress against billing milestones and contract terms.
- Assist in budget monitoring, cost control, and project cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and company billing procedures.
- Support procurement and planning teams with quantity-related data and reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in billing and quantity surveying for construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of billing procedures, BOQ, estimation, and quantity surveying.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and billing/estimation software.
- Experience in preparing client bills and subcontractor bills.
- Good understanding of civil drawings, contracts, and project documentation.
- Knowledge of construction materials, site execution, and reconciliation processes.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent coordination and communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-rise buildings, infrastructure, roads, bridges, industrial, or commercial projects.
- Familiarity with ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, or construction billing tools.
- Knowledge of GST, taxation, and contract management.
- Experience handling government or EPC project billing is an advantage.
