Job Title: Project Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager with a strong technical foundation and formal management education. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on development experience along with proven project management capabilities to drive successful delivery of technology projects.
Key Requirements
- 6 years of IT development experience (preferably in Java technologies)
- MBA from a premier institute (IIMs, ISB, XLRI, FMS, SPJIMR, or equivalent)
- Experience in Project Management post-MBA
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and deliver end-to-end technology projects within scope, timeline, and budget
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements
- Collaborate with engineering teams, leveraging your technical expertise to ensure effective execution
- Manage project schedules, milestones, and dependencies
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues proactively
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders and leadership, providing status updates and insights
- Drive Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure smooth sprint execution
- Coordinate across cross-functional teams including Engineering, QA, Product, and Business stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Technical proficiency in Java or backend systems
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar
Nice to Have
- PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certifications
- Experience in managing large-scale or enterprise projects
- Exposure to cloud, microservices, or distributed systems
- Experience working in fast-paced or startup environments
Education
- B.Tech / BE / Equivalent (Computer Science or related field preferred)
- MBA from a Tier-1/Premium institute (mandatory)
