Pipeline/ piping engineers are responsible for designing & building the pipeline/ piping systems that carry out water, gas, oil & waste. They are involved in every aspect of the creation of these piping systems. Piping engineers first draw the blueprints for the system and then assist in selecting the materials that will be used to build the pipes & accompanying components.
Qualification:
A graduate engineer in Mechanical Engineering is required. Added advantage if a certificate in piping discipline has received.
Experience:
Fresher or Minimum 2-3 years, preferably in design department in reputed Consultancy or Contracting Company, dealing in Oil & Gas sector. Short time field experience is better.
Knowledge in following areas is required:
· Material Selection of Piping/ pipeline & specialties
· Specification of Piping & Specialties
· Understanding of Field survey reports
· Plot Plan, Equipment Layout & Piping Layout drawings
· Piping MTO reports, Isometric drawings
· Piping Stress Analysis & design of piping supports
· Design standards like ANSI B31.3 & 31.8
· Cost estimate of Piping items
· Preparation of Tender documents

· Team spirit & positive attitude
· Expediting with other disciplines
· Communication skill with client, Vendors & Contractors
· Willing to depute at Project office/ site office for short time
