Role Overview
The MEP Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and detailed BOQs for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works across various projects. The role involves analyzing tender drawings, technical specifications, and coordinating with vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure compliance with project requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, cost estimation practices, and value engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret tender documents, drawings, and specifications for MEP works.

Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.

Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants for technical clarifications and pricing inputs.

Perform rate analysis, value engineering, and prepare cost comparison reports for management review.

Support the tendering team in preparing bid submissions and documentation.

Maintain updated databases of material costs, labor rates, and vendor quotations.

Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and client requirements.
Qualifications & Skills

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP estimation within the construction or contracting industry.

Sound knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical layouts, plumbing, and fire safety systems.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and estimation software tools.

Strong analytical, numerical, and coordination skills with attention to detail.
