Job Title: Manager / Sr. Manager SCM, Procurement & Inventory Control
Location: Gurugram Head Office, Travel to project sites may be required.
Industry -City Gas Distribution / EPC / Infrastructure / Utilities / Construction Projects
Experience Required
8 - 13 years in SCM, procurement, inventory control, stores, logistics, and vendor management. Preference will be given to candidates from EPC, infrastructure, construction, gas pipeline, utilities, telecom infra, electrical, mechanical, or project-based industries.
Job Summary
We are looking for a strong and hands-on SCM professional to manage procurement, inventory control, material reconciliation, logistics, vendor coordination, and site stores discipline across mul ple CGD project locations.
The role is not limited to procurement. The candidate must be capable of controlling the complete material lifecycle from purchase requisition to PO, GRN, dispatch, site receipt, material issue, contractor consump on, return, stock reconciliation, shortage recovery, and billing support.
This is a high-ownership role requiring daily coordina on with project teams, stores, finance, vendors, transporters, and management.
Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities / KPIs
Procurement Planning: Ensure mely material availability as per project execu on plan.
PR to PO Control: Manage PR, RFQ, comparison, nego a on and PO release.
Vendor Management: Develop vendors, negotiate rates and track delivery performance.
Open PO Tracking: Monitor pending POs, delayed supplies and delivery commitments.
GRN & Invoice Coordination: Ensure PO-GRN-invoice matching and payment documentation.
Inventory Control: Maintain accurate site-wise and store-wise stock records.
Stock Reconciliation: Reconcile physical stock vs system stock on regular basis.
Material Movement: Control inward, outward, transfer, issue, return and damaged material.
Site Store Discipline: Ensure every material transac on has approval and documentation.
Contractor Reconciliation: Track material issued, consumed, returned and recoverable from contractors.
Shortage Control: Identify shortages, excess stock, dead stock and unrecorded consumpti on.
Logistics Coordination: Arrange transport and track goods-in-transit ll site receipt.
Billing Support: Provide material consump on and reconcilia on data for billing.
Finance Coordination: Resolve vendor invoice, GRN and payment-related mismatches.
MIS Reporting: Submit weekly reports on PR, PO, stock, variance, GRN, shortages and recovery.
System Compliance: Ensure all SCM entries are updated in ERP/Elev9 without delay.
Cost Control: Reduce emergency purchases, wastage, leakage and excess inventory.
Audit Readiness: Maintain complete SCM records for internal and client audits.
Site Coordina on: Work closely with project, store, billing, finance and execu on teams.
Ownership: Ensure material availability, inventory accuracy and zero uncontrolled movement.
Required Skills
Strong procurement and inventory reconciliation experience.
Ability to work with site teams and not only corporate/vendor teams.
Experience in ERP/SAP/Tally/any inventory or procurement system.
Strong negotiation and vendor follow-up skills.
Ability to identify leakage, wastage, shortages, and unrecorded material movement.
Strong documentation and process discipline.
Ability to work under pressure with multiple project locations. Preferred Candidate Profile
Candidate should have worked in a project-based business, not only retail, trading, or office procurement.
Should understand site urgency, material planning, transport coordination, and fieldlevel execution pressure.
Should be comfortable dealing with project managers, site engineers, storekeepers, contractors, vendors, transporters, and finance team.
Must be practical, detail-oriented, disciplined, and strong in follow-up.
Should be able to visit sites for stock audit and process implementation when required.

Qualification
Graduate in any discipline.
MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, or Materials Management preferred.
SAP MM / ERP / inventory so ware experience preferred.
Compensation
Salary will be based on experience, capability, and industry fit. Performance-linked structure may be applicable.
Important Note for Candidates -This is a hands-on SCM role for live infrastructure projects.
Candidates looking only for deskbased purchase order processing may not be suitable. The role requires ownership of procurement, material movement, inventory control, and reconcilia on across mul ple project loca ons.
