Job description:
ProV Foods is an integrated healthy foods conglomerate based in Mumbai, specializing in dry fruits and staples. With a focus on quality and affordability, ProV Foods offers a wide range of premium dry fruits, nuts, seeds, and spices. Every ProV product undergoes stringent quality controls to ensure the highest quality natural produce reaches our customers.
We are currently looking for a Junior Associate / Associate - Quality Control who has a specialization in Food Safety & Quality control for our Tadkeshwar - Surat Plant.
Key Responsibilities:
1. In-Process Quality Control:
- Monitor in-line production activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and SOPs
- Conduct regular checks during sorting, grading, roasting, and packing processes
- Identify deviations and report non-conformities to senior team members
- Ensure GMP, GHP, and hygiene practices are followed on the shop floor
2. Raw Material (RM) Inspection:
- Perform incoming raw material inspection (dry fruits, packaging materials)
- Check for quality parameters such as moisture, infestation, foreign matter, and defects
- Maintain inspection records and approval/rejection status
3. Packaging Material (PM) & Finished Goods (FG) Analysis:
- Inspect packaging materials for compliance with specifications
- Conduct finished product evaluation (appearance, weight, sealing integrity, labeling)
- Perform shelf-life sample retention and monitoring
4. Laboratory Work:
- Conduct basic lab tests such as moisture analysis, organoleptic evaluation, and other routine checks
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure proper calibration
- Record and report test results accurately
5. Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain QA/QC records, logs, and reports as per company and regulatory requirements
- Support documentation for audits (internal/external)
- Assist in implementing food safety systems like HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI compliance
6. General Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with production and procurement teams for quality-related issues
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure adherence to company policies and food safety standards
Required skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology / Food Science / Microbiology or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
Above opening is for candidates with up to 2 year's of relevant experience in Food / Healthy Snacking Industry.
Job Location : Tadkeshwar - Surat with 6 days a week working.
