- Technical Support: Serve as the first point of contact for employees or clients needing help with IT issues, either in person or remotely.
- Hardware & Software Setup: Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, software applications, and physical equipment (e.g., computers, printers, and network switches).
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve hardware failures, software glitches, and network connectivity problems.
- System Security: Install antivirus software, perform firewall updates, and ensure compliance with company data privacy policies.
- Maintenance & Backups: Run routine performance checks, schedule system upgrades, and manage periodic data backups to prevent information loss.
- Inventory Management: Track hardware and software inventory, order necessary supplies, and maintain documentation of repairs.
- Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field.
- Experience: Typically 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in IT support or network administration.
- Certifications: Industry-standard credentials like CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are highly preferred.
- Essential SkillsDiagnostic Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills to quickly isolate and fix technical faults.
