Roles and Responsibilities:

Building individual systems or applications, considering factors such as scalability, reliability, availability, performance, security, integration, and maintainability.

Developing features of high complexity and providing technical oversight for the team.

Understanding the applicable architecture and engineering practice standards for their area of responsibility and employing them in their engineering designs.

Ensuring that systems and applications meet Architectural Guidance and may participate in the creation, modification and adjustment of new architectural patterns.

Solving critical technical issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring system reliability.

Working with internal and external engineering teams to ensure that functional and non-functional requirements are met.

Writing technical documentation such as Kruchten 4+1 diagrams, Run Books, Change Plans, Road Maps, DR Plans, KA's or other architectural drawings.

Offering mentorship and guidance to junior developers on the team.
Technical Skills:
Tech Skills(Must Have)
Tech Stack: Core Java 18+ , Spring Boot, Spring batch , REST API , Kafka, Junit, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, GIT, Design & Development using AI tools such as Amazon Q, Codex, CLI, Codex etc.
Architecture & Components : Microservices including Orchestration & Event Driven Architecture, HA Active-Active, API Gateway, Tokenization.
Database: PostGreS, DynamoDB, Aurora etc.
Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP etc.
Other Skills (Preferred)
Experience in Retail Payments systems.
Knowledge about payment processes like Authorization and Settlement/Reconciliation of Credit/Debit Cards, GiftCard etc.
Experience of legacy modernization projects
