Job Summary:
As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will be the face of Aggarwal Trading Company(Panku di Hatti), providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers in selecting the perfect firecrackers and fireworks for their celebrations. You will help manage store operations, support sales goals, and ensure the store maintains a safe and festive atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide expert advice on firecrackers and fireworks, helping them choose the right products for their needs.
- Sales Support: Promote and upsell products by explaining their features, safety instructions, and suitability for various occasions (e.g., festivals, weddings, New Year's celebrations).
- Product Knowledge: Develop an in-depth understanding of the firecracker and fireworks products we offer, including their safety guidelines and regulations.
- Inventory Management: Assist with receiving and organizing stock, ensuring shelves are fully stocked, and keeping track of inventory to avoid shortages or overstock.
- Safety Awareness: Ensure customers are fully informed about safety precautions and regulations regarding the safe handling and use of firecrackers and fireworks.
- Visual Merchandising: Maintain attractive product displays and ensure all firecracker merchandise is easily accessible, properly labeled, and visually appealing.
- Store Maintenance: Ensure the store is clean, well-organized, and safe for customers, especially in areas where firecrackers are stored.
- Cash Handling: Process sales transactions accurately, manage cash, credit, and debit payments, and handle returns in accordance with company policies.
- Team Collaboration: Work together with the retail team and store management to achieve sales targets, improve customer experience, and maintain store operations smoothly.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred. Experience with selling seasonal products or in a high-volume retail environment is a plus.
- Skills: Strong communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Ability to explain product features and safety guidelines clearly and confidently.
- Sales Ability: Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals and create a positive shopping experience for customers.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to manage stock levels, check product quality, and organize displays efficiently.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work during peak seasons such as Diwali, New Year's, and other festive holidays. Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holiday shifts.
- Safety-Conscious: Awareness and understanding of the safe handling and storage of firecrackers and fireworks.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift moderate items (e.g., boxes of firecrackers or fireworks).

- Strong problem-solving skills, especially when handling customer concerns or complaints.
- Knowledge of local firework regulations and safety standards.
