We are looking for an experienced and result-driven Area Sales Manager to lead sales operations in the assigned territory. The candidate should have strong experience in sales management, distributor handling, team leadership, and market expansion. Experience in the food/FMCG industry will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve area-wise sales targets
- Appoint, manage, and support distributors, dealers, and retailers
- Expand market reach and increase product availability in assigned territories
- Lead, train, and monitor the sales team for better performance
- Build strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key customers
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain healthy business operations
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer demand
- Plan and execute promotional activities to increase brand visibility
- Regular market visits for sales growth and team supervision
- Prepare sales reports, target analysis, and market feedback for management
Candidate Requirements:
- 10–20 years of proven sales experience
- Food industry / FMCG sales experience preferred
- Strong distributor and channel sales management skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities
- Ability to achieve targets and drive business growth
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area
- Graduate preferred (MBA in Sales/Marketing is an advantage)
