ASME Design Engineer – (Kuwait Visa, immediate processing).
1) Perform mechanical design and engineering calculations for Heat Exchanger, pressure vessels and static equipment in accordance with ASME Section VIII Div. 1/Div. 2, as applicable.
2) Prepare and review calculations for shells, heads, nozzles, flanges, supports, lifting lugs, Tube to Tube sheet and reinforcement requirements.
3) Prepare and review GA, fabrication, and detail drawings.
4) Select materials in accordance with ASME Section II, ASTM standards, and project specifications.
5) Review project specifications, datasheets, drawings, and applicable codes/standards.
6) Prepare and review technical documentation, design calculations, and equipment datasheets.
7) Coordinate with Process, Piping, Welding, QA/QC, Production, Procurement, and Project teams.
8) Provide engineering support during fabrication, inspection, hydrotesting, NDE, PWHT, and final documentation.
9) Resolve design-related technical queries, deviations, and NCRs.
10) Coordinate with clients, third-party inspection agencies, and ASME Authorized Inspectors for design-related matters.
11) Support documentation and engineering activities related to ASME U-Stamp certification.
12) Ensure all engineering deliverables are completed accurately and within the project schedule.
13) Hands-on experience in ASME Section VIII, Division 1 & 2 and ASME U-Stamp audit requirements.
14) Hands-on experience in preparing for and supporting ASME U-Stamp audits, including review of quality systems.
15) Experience in coordinating with ASME Authorized Inspectors (AI) during U-Stamp surveys and audits
16) Additional qualification/certification in ASME / Pressure Vessel Design is preferred.
17) Knowledge of ASME BPVC Section II, V, VIII, and IX is required.
Experience
1) 5–10 years of relevant experience in Heat Exchanger, pressure vessel/static equipment design.
2) Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, EPC, or process equipment manufacturing industries is preferred.
3) Hands-on experience in ASME Heat Exchanger, pressure vessel design and calculations.
Technical Skills
1) Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII Div. 1 / Div. 2.
2) Good understanding of API, ASTM, TEMA, and client/project specifications.
3) Proficiency in PV Elite / COMPRESS or equivalent pressure vessel design software.
4) Working knowledge of AutoCAD and engineering drawing practices.
5) Good understanding of welding, NDE, PWHT, hydrotesting, and fabrication processes.
6) Strong engineering calculation and analytical skills.
