Job Summary
RhythmRX is hiring a Procurement Lead to own sourcing, vendor management, and end-to-end procurement for our portfolio of connected medical devices while leading a small procurement team.
The role manages the complete procurement lifecycle—from requirement gathering and supplier negotiation to purchase orders, delivery, and inventory coordination—working closely with Engineering, Production, and R&D teams. The ideal candidate combines strong procurement and negotiation skills with the ability to mentor and lead a team of 3–5 members, ensuring cost, quality, and timelines are effectively managed in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSourcing & Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for electronic components, equipment, and related systems.
- Build and maintain long-term vendor and supplier relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost-effective purchasing.
- Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery timelines, and service reliability.
- Conduct market research to identify new sourcing opportunities and alternative suppliers.
Procurement Operations
- Own the complete procurement lifecycle from requirement gathering to material delivery.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and R&D teams to develop purchasing plans.
- Prepare, review, and process purchase orders accurately and on time.
- Track orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Inventory & Supply Chain
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock availability.
- Coordinate incoming shipments and verify material quality upon receipt.
- Support inventory and supply planning to prevent shortages, delays, and excess stock.
- Maintain accurate procurement and inventory records.
Cost Control & Compliance
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining required quality standards.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain documentation of purchase orders, vendor contracts, quotations, and supplier records.
- Drive procurement reporting and spend analysis.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate a procurement team of 3–5 members.
- Allocate tasks, set timelines, and ensure quality output.
- Act as the primary procurement interface for cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, including team leadership or mentoring experience.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with a proven ability to secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Strong understanding of the procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, PO processing, delivery tracking, and inventory coordination.
- Excellent cost-control, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement documentation.
- Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- English and Tamil proficiency (both mandatory).
Preferred Experience
- Electronics/component sourcing and familiarity with electronic BOMs.
- Procurement for R&D, new product introduction (NPI), and prototype builds.
- Logistics and supply chain coordination, including inbound shipments and vendor lead-time management.
- Prior experience in the electronics or manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience with ERP or procurement systems.
- Inventory management experience (1+ year preferred).
Role Details
- Team Size: Leads a procurement team of 3–5 members.
- Experience: Flexible based on demonstrated procurement and leadership capability.
- Joining: Immediate joiners preferred; notice period should not exceed 1 month.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
