Role Overview-
As a Corporate Linkages Professional, you will serve as the bridge between trained students and potential employers. You will be responsible for developing and managing corporate partnerships, identifying employment opportunities, facilitating placement activities, and supporting students throughout their career journey.
The role requires strong relationship-building skills, an understanding of evolving industry hiring trends, and the ability to work closely with students, training teams, educational institutions, and employers to achieve placement outcomes.
Your primary objective will be to maximize student placements and contribute to the overall employability success of the programs.
Key Responsibilities-
1. Corporate Engagement & Partnerships
- Identify, map, and connect with HR teams, recruiters, hiring managers, and industry leaders across sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers to generate placement opportunities for trained students.
- Understand industry hiring requirements and workforce trends.
- Develop and manage a robust employer network to support ongoing placement activities.
- Represent TNSIF at industry events, networking forums, and employer engagement initiatives.
2. Student Placement & Career Support
- Understand students' career aspirations, skills, and employment preferences.
- Identify suitable job opportunities through corporate partnerships, professional networks, job portals, and recruitment platforms.
- Conduct placement readiness sessions, career counselling, and employability guidance.
- Support students in resume building, interview preparation, and professional communication.
3. Placement Drives & Recruitment Events
- Plan and execute placement drives, recruitment campaigns, job fairs, career fests, and hiring events.
- Coordinate with employers and educational institutions to ensure smooth execution of recruitment activities.
- Facilitate interviews, assessments, group discussions, and selection processes.
- Enable meaningful interactions between students and employers to improve placement outcomes.
4. Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of employer engagement, job opportunities, interviews, selections, and placements.
- Update placement dashboards, trackers, and MIS reports regularly.
- Analyse placement performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
- Contribute towards achieving placement targets and program KPIs, including student joining and retention rates.
5. Post-Placement Support
- Provide support to students during onboarding and joining processes.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with placed students and employers.
- Track student retention and career progression.
- Address challenges related to onboarding, workplace adaptation, and job continuity.
6. Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with program teams, trainers, colleges, universities, and corporate partners.
- Ensure alignment between student skill development initiatives and market requirements.
- Maintain strong communication with internal and external stakeholders to drive placement
- success.
Preferred Skills & Experience-
- 2–7 years of experience in Corporate Relations, Placements, Talent Acquisition, Recruitment, Business Development, Employer Engagement, or Industry Partnerships.
- Experience working with educational institutions, skilling programs, employability initiatives, or workforce development programs is preferred.
- Exposure to placements across sectors such as IT/ITeS, Manufacturing, Engineering, BFSI, Retail, Logistics, Healthcare, Emerging Technologies, or allied industries.
- Strong corporate networking and relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to organize placement drives and recruitment events.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong data management, reporting, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic and target-driven environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and placement tracking systems.
