Job Description – Business Development Consultant

Location: Vadodara/Ahmedabad (with travel as required)
Position Summary
The Business Development Consultant will support market development, branding, enterprise growth, buyer acquisition, and revenue generation for women-led handicraft enterprises. The consultant will help create sustainable market linkages and position the enterprise for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Market Research & Business Strategy
· Conduct market assessments for handicrafts and corporate gifting products.
· Identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and pricing benchmarks.
· Develop enterprise growth and market expansion strategies.
· To Conduct Entrepreneurship development , financial & Digital Literacy training
Buyer & Market Linkages
- Establish partnerships with:
- Corporate gifting companies
- Retail brands
- Lifestyle stores
- Export houses
- E-commerce platforms
- Facilitate participation in exhibitions, fairs, and buyer-seller meets.
- Generate B2B and institutional sales opportunities.
Branding & Marketing
- Develop enterprise branding strategy and positioning.
- Support logo development, product catalogues, and packaging design.
- Guide social media and digital marketing initiatives.
- Develop promotional materials and sales collateral.
E-Commerce & Digital Sales
- Facilitate onboarding on:
- Amazon Saheli/Karigar
- Flipkart Samarth
- Government e-Marketplace (GeM)
- Other relevant marketplaces
- Develop online sales and customer engagement strategies.
Enterprise Strengthening
- Support pricing, costing, and profitability analysis.
- Develop sales forecasts and revenue plans.
- Build capacity of women leaders on business management and customer relations.
- Support creation of standard business processes.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Track sales performance and market linkage outcomes.
- Maintain buyer database and partnership records.
- Prepare quarterly business development reports.
Qualification & Experience
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Rural Management, Entrepreneurship, or related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in business development, market linkages, artisan enterprises, handicrafts, social enterprises, or rural livelihoods.
- Proven experience in B2B sales and market development.

Deliverables
- Minimum 1-2 institutional/corporate buyers onboarded annually.

- Participation in 1–2 exhibitions/fairs annually.
- Achievement of annual sales and market linkage targets.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
