Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Commi 1 – Continental / Café Kitchen to join our team at Wagholi, Pune. The candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing sandwiches, burgers, fries, pastas, salads, breakfast items, and other café-style dishes.
The ideal candidate should be disciplined, clean, fast during service, and able to maintain consistent taste, portioning, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare sandwiches, burgers, pastas, fries, salads, sides, and basic continental/café items.
- Handle mise-en-place before service, including cutting, portioning, sauces, fillings, and toppings.
- Maintain food quality, taste, portion size, and presentation as per café standards.
- Operate basic kitchen equipment such as griller, fryer, induction, oven, toaster, and blender if required.
- Follow hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards at all times.
- Maintain proper storage of ingredients, raw materials, and semi-prepared items.
- Check stock levels and inform the senior chef about shortages or wastage.
- Support smooth kitchen operations during rush hours.
- Keep the work station, equipment, refrigerator, and storage area clean and organized.
- Follow instructions from the Head Chef / CDP and support team members when required.
Candidate Requirements:
- Prior experience as Commi 1 / Commi 2 / Continental Cook / Café Cook preferred.
- Must have experience in sandwiches and basic café food preparation.
- Basic knowledge of continental and fast-service kitchen operations.
- Should be able to work independently during service when required.
- Must be clean, disciplined, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Willing to work weekends, public holidays, and café shift timings.
- Candidate should be currently located in or willing to travel to Wagholi, Pune.
Qualification:
Minimum 10th / 12th pass.
Hotel management or culinary background will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.
