Compensation: ₹1,45,000–₹2,40,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications
Help Us Build Something Extraordinary
Gausharan is an ambitious new animal-welfare project being established in India.
Our vision is to create an exceptionally large and peaceful sanctuary where cows and other cattle can live safely, with food, shelter, care and permanent protection.
We are looking for a reliable, organised and motivated professional based in Mumbai to join us at an early stage as our India Director & Administrative Lead.
This is a unique opportunity to become involved in an international project from the beginning and help build the foundations of a long-term operation in India.
You will work closely with the project's international management and will have an important role in coordinating the practical and administrative side of the project.
About the Role
This is a varied position. You will be involved in different aspects of establishing and developing the project in India.
The role will primarily involve administration, coordination, communication and practical problem-solving.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with the establishment and administration of the Indian company and its operations.
- Communicating and coordinating with accountants, lawyers, banks and other professional service providers.
- Organising documents, appointments, applications and correspondence.
- Helping international management navigate Indian administrative procedures.
- Representing the company locally when necessary.
- Communicating with relevant organisations and service providers.
- Attending occasional meetings on behalf of the company.
- Helping organise practical matters as the project develops.
- Travelling occasionally within India when required.
- Helping create simple, reliable administrative systems and processes.
- Following up on tasks and making sure important matters are completed properly.
You Don't Need to Know Everything
We do not expect the successful candidate to already know every process involved in establishing a company or operating a large project in India.
The project's specific procedures, internal systems and requirements will be explained. You will receive support from international management and relevant professional advisers where necessary.
What matters most to us is that you are responsible, trustworthy, organised, capable of learning and comfortable taking initiative.
If you are the kind of person who can be given an unfamiliar task, figure out what needs to be done, communicate with the right people and follow it through to completion, we would like to hear from you.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Is based in Mumbai or is willing to relocate to Mumbai.
- Has excellent communication skills.
- Has good written and spoken English.
- Speaks Hindi and/or another Indian language.
- Is organised and dependable.
- Is comfortable communicating with different types of people and organisations.
- Can work independently while staying in regular communication with international management.
- Is willing to learn new processes and responsibilities.
- Has good judgement and takes responsibility for their work.
- Is comfortable with occasional travel within India.
Previous Experience
Previous experience in administration, management, business, operations, banking, accounting, legal coordination, project management or a similar field would be helpful.
However, we are not looking for someone who necessarily has experience in all of these areas.
We are open to candidates from different professional backgrounds who demonstrate the right combination of intelligence, reliability, communication skills, initiative and willingness to learn.
Experience working with international companies or organisations would be an advantage, but is not essential.
What We Offer
- ₹1,45,000–₹2,40,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Approved work-related travel expenses covered separately.
- Training and professional support.
- Direct involvement in building Gausharan from its earliest stage.
- Close collaboration with international management.
- A varied role with significant responsibility.
- Long-term growth potential as the project expands.
- The opportunity to contribute to a meaningful animal-welfare project.
