Accounting & Tax Executive (Canadian Accounts & Taxation)
Job description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Taxation and Accounting Executive specializing in Canadian accounts and taxation to join our team in Ahmedabad.
Responsibilities will include recording financial transactions, ensuring compliance with Canadian accounting standards and tax regulation, and providing expert financial advice to our client in Canada.
Responsibilities:
1. Accounting Management:
· Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting, in accordance with Canadian Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP).
· Prepare and analyse financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to provide accurate and timely financial insights to client.
2. Tax Compliance and Reporting:
· Ensure compliance with Canadian tax laws and regulations, including corporate income tax, GST/HST, payroll taxes, and other applicable taxes.
· Prepare and file tax returns, including T2 corporate tax returns, T4/T5 employee and contractor tax slips, GST/HST returns, and other tax related documents as required.
· Conduct tax planning and optimization strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits for clients.
3. Financial Analysis:
· Perform financial analysis, variance analysis, and trend analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction, revenue growth, and profitability improvement.
· Provide expert financial advice and recommendations to clients on budgeting forecasting, cash flow management, and strategic financial planning.
4. Client Relationship Management:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients in Canada, building strong relationships and understanding their business goals, challenges, and financial needs.
· Collaborate with clients to address accounting and tax-related queries, resolve issues, and provide proactive financial guidance and support.
5. Compliance and Audit Support:
· Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
· Coordinate and support external audits, providing necessary documentation, explanations, and assistance during audit processes.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field / Inter CA
· Minimum of 2 Years of hands-on experience in Canadian accounting and taxation, preferably in a client facing role or within an outsourcing company serving clients in Canada.
· Deep knowledge of Canadian GAAP, tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
· Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero. Experience with tax software and excel proficiency is essential.
· Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills, with a customer-centric approach and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Work mode: Work from home.
Job Timings: 45 hours per week, with mandatory timings as 8:30PM - 5:30AM.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
