Key Responsibilities
- Vision & Refraction Testing: Perform subjective and objective refractions, retinoscopy, and visual acuity tests to diagnose vision errors and prescribe corrective lenses.
- Diagnostic Workups: Operate specialized diagnostic equipment (e.g., OCT, Visual Field Analyzers, Topography, Tonometry, Biometry/A-Scan) to assist ophthalmologists in pre-op evaluations and disease monitoring.
- Contact Lens Fitting: Assess, fit, and dispense soft, toric, and specialty contact lenses while instructing patients on proper lens care and hygiene.
- Patient Screening & Triage: Identify ocular pathology, glaucoma signs, corneal irregularities, and retinal abnormalities, referring complex cases to senior ophthalmologists.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain precise digital clinical records of patient measurements, test findings, and lens prescriptions.
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Optometry (B.Optom) or Diploma in Optometry (D.Optom) from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 1–4 years of clinical experience in an eye hospital, optical setup, or refractive centre (freshers with strong internship clinical records are welcome).
- Technical Skills: Hands-on proficiency with diagnostic ophthalmic devices, slit-lamp examination, and precise refraction techniques.
- Communication: Clear communication skills in English and Telugu (Hindi is an advantage) to explain visual conditions and care instructions effectively.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
