This is a full-time, on-site role for a Web Content Writer (SEO & Fashion Content) based in Kolkata.
As a Web Content Writer, you will be responsible for creating engaging, informative, and SEO-optimized content for our eCommerce website and digital marketing channels. The role involves writing product descriptions, category pages, buying guides, blogs, landing pages, fashion trend articles, and website copy that improves organic search visibility and enhances customer engagement.
You will conduct keyword research, develop content strategies, optimize existing content, and ensure all content follows Google's EEAT and Helpful Content Guidelines. You will also collaborate closely with the SEO, design, and marketing teams to support organic growth and brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- Write SEO-friendly blogs, buying guides, fashion articles, landing pages, and product descriptions.
- Create compelling website copy that aligns with customer search intent.
- Conduct keyword research and naturally incorporate keywords into content.
- Optimize title tags, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, image alt text, and internal linking.
- Update and improve existing content to increase rankings and user engagement.
- Research fashion trends, customer behavior, and competitor content.
- Proofread and edit content for grammar, accuracy, readability, and SEO.
- Develop content calendars and content strategies for organic growth.
- Collaborate with SEO specialists, designers, photographers, and marketing teams.
- Ensure all content is original, factually accurate, plagiarism-free, and aligned with the brand voice.
- Contribute ideas for social media captions, email campaigns, and promotional content.
Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in web content writing, preferably in eCommerce, fashion, or lifestyle brands.
- Excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO and content optimization.
- Knowledge of keyword research and search intent.
- Ability to research independently and write engaging, reader-focused content.
- Creative mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
