Key Responsibilities
1. Site Mobilisation: Travel to client sites across India along with senior technicians and project material; assist in unloading, inventory check, and storage of incoming furniture, hardware, and consumables.
2. Installation Work: Assemble and install laboratory workstations, lab tables, fume hoods, storage cupboards, reagent racks, sinks, peg boards, and utility panels strictly as per the approved 2D layout supplied by the Quotation & Estimation team.
3. Service Connections (under supervision): Assist in plumbing connections (water inlet, drain, gas piping), electrical fitments (MCB, switches, lighting), and exhaust ducting for fume hoods.
4. Quality & Finish: Ensure level, plumb, alignment, and finish of every installed item — no scratches, gaps, loose fittings, or wobble. Touch-up minor on-site damages with laminate / paint / silicone as required.
5. Safety on Site: Wear PPE (helmet, gloves, safety shoes, mask) at all times. Follow site safety rules of both Labkafe and the client institution. Never work on live electrical circuits without supervision.
6. Snag Resolution: Once the Site-In-Charge has handed over a snag list, complete rectification within the agreed timeline before client final inspection.
7. Daily Reporting: Send a short daily site progress update with photos to the Site-In-Charge over WhatsApp / company app — items installed, items pending, material shortages, and any client concerns.
8. Material & Tool Discipline: Keep Labkafe-issued tools, ladders, and balance material safe at site. No wastage, no pilferage. Return all balance material to the warehouse on project completion.
9. Client Conduct: Maintain professional behaviour at school / college / research-lab sites. Be polite to faculty, principals, and lab in-charges. Do not enter classrooms or labs in operation without permission.
10. Handover Support: Assist the Site-In-Charge during the final client walkthrough and the signing of the Installation Completion Certificate (ICC).
