The Human Resource Manager is responsible for managing all HR functions including recruitment, employee onboarding, attendance, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, training, performance management, employee engagement, and disciplinary procedures. The role ensures that the company has a productive, skilled, and compliant workforce while maintaining a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Hiring
- Plan manpower requirements with department heads.
- Source, interview, and recruit workers, supervisors, executives, and managers.
- Conduct reference and background checks.
- Coordinate joining formalities and documentation.
Employee Onboarding
- Conduct induction and orientation programs.
- Explain company policies, SOPs, hygiene, and safety requirements.
- Maintain employee files and records.
- Ensure all statutory documents are collected.
Attendance & Leave Management
- Monitor daily attendance and shift schedules.
- Manage leave applications and absenteeism.
- Coordinate overtime records.
- Ensure manpower availability across departments.
Payroll & Benefits
- Verify attendance for payroll processing.
- Coordinate salary, incentives, overtime, and deductions.
- Maintain employee benefit records.
- Coordinate insurance and employee welfare schemes.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- Labour Laws
- PF
- ESIC
- Professional Tax
- Bonus
- Gratuity
- Factory Act requirements
- Maintain all statutory registers and records.
- Coordinate labour inspections and audits.
Performance Management
- Implement probation and confirmation processes.
- Conduct annual performance appraisals.
- Assist department heads in setting KPIs.
- Identify training needs.
Training & Development
- Organize induction training.
- Conduct hygiene, GMP, food safety, and workplace safety training.
- Arrange skill development programs.
- Maintain training records.
Employee Relations
- Handle employee grievances.
- Resolve workplace conflicts.
- Maintain discipline according to company policy.
- Promote employee engagement and retention.
HR Administration
- Maintain HRMIS and employee database.
- Issue appointment letters, confirmation letters, promotion letters, warning letters, and experience certificates.
- Manage employee exits and full-and-final settlements.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
Health, Safety & Welfare
- Coordinate medical check-ups.
- Ensure PPE compliance.
- Support safety initiatives.
- Promote a safe and hygienic workplace.
HR Reporting
Prepare monthly reports on:
- Employee strength
- Recruitment status
- Attrition
- Attendance
- Overtime
- Leave
- Training
- Statutory compliance
- Employee turnover

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.
Experience
- 5–8 years in HR, preferably in manufacturing or food processing.
- Experience handling factory workers and shift-based operations.
- Knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
