A PHP CodeIgniter Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining server-side web applications using the CodeIgniter framework. Their primary focus is managing the exchange of data between the server and users while ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Development: Design and develop robust web applications, customized interfaces, and data analysis libraries using the CodeIgniter MVC framework.
- Backend Management: Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules and manage server-side logic and business workflows.
- API Integration: Create and integrate RESTful APIs to connect back-end services with front-end components and third-party services.
- Database Management: Design database schemas and optimize MySQL queries to ensure high data integrity and performance.
- Front-End Collaboration: Work with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Testing & Maintenance: Troubleshooting, debugging, and performing unit testing to ensure application security and scalability.
Core Requirements & Skills:
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in PHP programming and deep understanding of CodeIgniter core functionalities (e.g., helpers, libraries, and routing).
- Architecture Knowledge: Strong understanding of MVC architecture and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
- Web Technologies: Familiarity with front-end tools such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
- Database Skills: Experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Development Tools: Proficiency with version control systems like Git and common web server environments (LAMP stack).
