- Develop and maintain approved vendor list
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules
- Evaluate supplier performance and quality compliance
- Coordinate with production and stores departments for material requirements
- Production schedules
- Inventory levels
- Forecast demand
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of critical materials
- Monitor procurement budgets and material costs
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternate sourcing and negotiation
- Compare quotations and prepare cost analysis reports
Required Skills
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Knowledge of CNC/VMC manufacturing materials and components
- Understanding of engineering drawings and BOMs
- ERP / SAP / inventory software knowledge
- Cost analysis and purchase planning capability
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Production Engineering
- Supply Chain / Materials Management
Experience
- 10+ years in procurement/purchase within:
- CNC manufacturing industry (Mandatory)
