Facilities Manager -
Job Summary
The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the school's campus. The role oversees the maintenance of buildings and infrastructure, manages support services and vendors, ensures compliance with statutory and safety regulations, and provides a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, parents, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Campus Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the school campus.
- Ensure all classrooms, offices, common areas, playgrounds, laboratories, and other facilities are well maintained.
- Conduct regular inspections and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and infrastructure.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, fire, and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate fire drills, emergency preparedness, and evacuation procedures.
- Maintain all statutory licenses, certifications, and compliance records.
- Ensure the campus remains safe and secure for students, staff, and visitors.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage housekeeping, security, landscaping, pest control, transport, and maintenance vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance against agreed service levels.
- Coordinate Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and service schedules.
- Obtain quotations, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely completion of services.
Infrastructure & Asset Management
Team Management
- Supervise housekeeping, security, maintenance, and support staff.
- 5–10 years of experience in facilities or operations management..
