We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically strong professional with practical experience in mould and tool design to support product development and manufacturing excellence.
Job Title: Engineer - Tool / Mold Design
Location: Wagholi, Pune
Responsibilities:
- Review product designs for manufacturing feasibility.
- Participate in design reviews from concept stage to final model release.
- Design moulds, tools, fixtures, and insert-loading fixtures for insert moulding applications.
- Implement design modifications based on revised part models.
- Prepare and release final 2D and 3D drawings.
- Coordinate with product designers, tooling teams, quality teams, and external tool/mould development vendors.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience in mould and tool assembly.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and design principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and SolidWorks (3D).
- Ability to perform calculations related to shrinkage, volume, weight, and tolerances.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of cost estimation and lead-time planning.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic MS Excel proficiency
- Qualification: Post Diploma in Tool Design OR Diploma in Tool & Die Making with 3–4 Years (Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in mould and tool design)
