We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage the company's financial records, statutory compliance, payroll processing, and financial reporting. This is a hybrid/freelance role, where the accountant will primarily work remotely while ensuring smooth financial operations. The selected candidate will be required to visit the office once or twice a week, or as needed, for document verification, approvals, payroll processing, audits, and management meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting entries.
- Perform bank, customer, and vendor reconciliations.
- Generate invoices and manage accounts receivable.
- Track outstanding payments and follow up on collections.
- Process vendor payments and manage accounts payable.
- Ensure timely compliance with PF, ESIC, TDS, GST, Professional Tax (if applicable), and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate GST, TDS, and other statutory filings with the CA/CS.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, financial statements, and management reports.
- Support internal and external audits and coordinate with the company's CA/CS.
- Maintain accurate financial records, invoices, vouchers, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor cash flow and provide regular updates on receivables, payables, and financial status.
- Assist management with budgeting, expense tracking, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Coordinate with the HR and management teams for payroll, reimbursements, financial approvals, and reporting.
Work Arrangement
- Hybrid/Freelance role with remote working flexibility.
- Mandatory office visit once or twice a week, or as required for financial reviews, document verification, audits, compliance activities, and management meetings.
- Must be available during business hours for financial queries, approvals, month-end closing, and statutory compliance activities.
- Responsible for ensuring timely completion of all accounting, reporting, and compliance-related tasks.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, taxation, payroll, and statutory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, payroll processing, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally Prime, Zoho Books, or similar ERP systems.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, and time management.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Pune, Maharashtra (Pune, Pune District)
