Role Overview
The HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) Validation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing HIL test setups and automation frameworks to validate embedded software and control systems for Engine Control Module. This role is critical to ensuring software reliability, system integration, and compliance with performance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain HIL test benches using platforms like dSPACE.
- Translate the functional requirements into the Test plans
- Create & maintain automated test scripts using Python, and CAPL etc
- Perform fault injection, signal conditioning, and real-time simulation for ECU validation.
- Validate communication protocols including CAN,J1939,Ethernet
- Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with software and calibration teams to resolve issues.
- Document test plans, procedures, and reports in alignment with internal quality standards.
- Support continuous improvement of validation processes and tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in HIL validation for Automotive ECUs.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as CANalyzer, CANape.
knowledge in MATLAB Simulink
- Strong understanding of automotive systems and control strategies preferably Engine ECUs
- Familiarity with requirement management and defect tracking tools.

- Knowledge of calibration workflows and performance tuning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
