Purpose of the Role
To develop strong language, literacy, communication, and critical thinking skills among primary school students through engaging, child-centered, and experiential learning practices aligned with CBSE and NEP 2020 guidelines. The teacher will foster a love for reading, writing, speaking, and listening while creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Responsibilities
- Teach English Language and Literature to students of Grades I to V as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and teaching-learning materials.
- Develop students' proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension.
- Use storytelling, role-play, phonics, dramatization, reading activities, and interactive methodologies to enhance language acquisition.
- Promote creative and functional writing skills through age-appropriate activities.
- Integrate experiential learning, competency-based education, and technology into classroom instruction.
- Ensure timely completion of the prescribed curriculum and learning outcomes.
Student Development
- Foster a love for reading and language learning.
- Encourage effective communication and self-expression among students.
- Develop critical thinking, creativity, and confidence through language activities.
- Identify students requiring additional support and provide remedial instruction.
- Support gifted learners through enrichment activities and advanced reading opportunities.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Conduct formative and summative assessments as per CBSE guidelines.
- Assess reading fluency, comprehension, writing skills, grammar, and oral communication.
- Maintain assessment records, portfolios, anecdotal records, and progress reports.
- Analyze student performance data and implement improvement strategies.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
Classroom Management
- Create a safe, engaging, and language-rich classroom environment.
- Maintain discipline through positive reinforcement and student-centered practices.
- Display student work, reading materials, and language-learning resources.
- Ensure active participation and inclusion of all learners.
Parent and School Engagement
- Participate actively in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
- Communicate student progress and learning goals effectively to parents.
- Organize and support literary activities, reading programs, assemblies, and competitions.
- Collaborate with colleagues for interdisciplinary learning and school initiatives.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain lesson plans, attendance records, assessment files, and student documentation.
- Participate in staff meetings, workshops, training programs, and professional development activities.
- Adhere to school policies, CBSE norms, and child safeguarding guidelines.
QualificationEssential
- Bachelor's Degree in English or related discipline.
- D.El.Ed. / B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
- CTET / State TET qualified (preferred as per CBSE norms).
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a CBSE or reputed school.
Preferred
- Training in Phonics, Early Literacy, or Language Development Programs.
- Knowledge of competency-based education and NEP 2020 recommendations.
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms and educational technology tools.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
