Saraswathy Group is a leading retail and wholesale business group in Kerala with operations across multiple sectors. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Fleet Manager to oversee our fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently to support our distribution network.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the company fleet.
- Monitor vehicle availability and ensure timely deployment.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, and servicing.
- Maintain vehicle documentation, insurance, permits, and fitness certificates.
- Track fuel consumption and implement cost-control measures.
- Supervise drivers and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Monitor vehicle performance and address operational issues.
- Coordinate with warehouse and transport teams to ensure smooth dispatch operations.
- Maintain accurate fleet records, service schedules, and daily reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and transport laws.
- Handle emergency vehicle breakdowns and coordinate quick resolutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in fleet management, transportation, logistics, or a related field.
- Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fleet operations.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel and ERP software such as Odoo is an advantage).
- Good communication skills in Malayalam. Tamil is an added advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and solve operational problems efficiently.
