Financial Planning & Budgeting
Develop, manage, and monitor the school’s annual budget.
Work closely with senior leadership to prepare long-term financial plans and projections.
Advise school leadership on financial trends, potential risks, and opportunities for growth.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data to the board of directors and school management.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Ensure accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions.
Reconcile bank statements, monitor cash flow, and maintain financial controls.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
Prepare for and support internal and external audits.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and other financial regulations.
Monitor cash flow to ensure the school maintains a healthy financial position.
Work closely with the administration to manage tuition collection and other revenue sources.
Oversee the management of investments and endowment funds, if applicable.
Team Management & Development
Supervise and support the finance department staff (e.g., accountants, bookkeepers).
Provide training and professional development opportunities to ensure a high-performing team.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the finance department.
Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with educational objectives.
Provide ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by the leadership team.
Support the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with the school's long-term goals.
