About Us
Agarwal Steel Enterprises is an authorised dealer for JSW, SAIL, and JSPL, serving the steel and infrastructure sector since 1988. We're looking for a sincere, detail-oriented fresher to handle day-to-day accounts data entry and grow into a full accounting role over time, working under our senior accountant.
The Role
This is an entry-level position focused on accurate, timely data entry in Tally. You'll learn the practical side of accounting on the job, with guidance from a senior team member. It's a great first step for a commerce graduate who wants to build a real accounting career in an established business.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter day-to-day transactions in Tally Prime — sales, purchases, payments, receipts, journal vouchers
- Generate sales invoices, e-invoices, and e-way bills under supervision
- Maintain accurate, organised records and file supporting documents
- Help reconcile ledgers, bank statements, and stock entries
- Verify supporting documents (bills, vouchers) before entry for accuracy
- Assist the senior accountant with GST, TDS, and month-end tasks
- Handle basic office and record-keeping duties as needed
Requirements
- B.Com / B.Com (Accounting & Finance) or equivalent commerce background (final-year students may apply)
- Basic working knowledge of Tally Prime / Tally ERP
- Comfortable with MS Excel and data entry
- High accuracy and attention to detail — this is the most important quality for the role
- Sincere, punctual, and willing to learn
- Fluent in Tamil; basic English
Nice to Have
- Internship or academic project involving Tally / GST
- Familiarity with GST basics, e-way bills, or e-invoicing
- Pursuing or completed CA/CMA foundation/inter (a strong plus)
