Position - Pre-Primary Main Teacher
Reporting To - Academic Coordinator / Principal
Job Summary;-
The Pre-Primary Main Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering age-appropriate learning experiences that support the intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and creative development of young children. The teacher creates a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching and Learning
- Plan and conduct engaging lessons based on the prescribed curriculum.
- Use creative teaching methods such as storytelling, music, art, games, and hands-on activities.
- Foster children's language, literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
- Monitor and assess children's progress regularly.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Classroom Management
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Establish classroom routines and positive behavior expectations.
- Ensure children's safety and well-being at all times.
Child Development
- Observe and document children's developmental milestones.
- Identify learning or behavioral concerns and communicate them appropriately.
- Encourage independence, self-confidence, and positive social interactions.
Parent Communication
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding children's progress and development.
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings and provide feedback.
- Address parent concerns professionally and promptly.
Administrative Duties
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and learning materials.
- Maintain attendance, assessment records, and student portfolios.
- Participate in school events, training programs, and staff meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Diploma/Certification in Nursery Teacher Training (NTT), Montessori, ECCEd, or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience teaching preschool or kindergarten children is an advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
- Basic computer skills for lesson planning and record keeping.
Working Hours
As per school policy and academic calendar.
Job Type: Full-time
