Job Responsibilities:
- Assemble, fit, and maintain press tools, dies, and fixtures.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of dies.
- Troubleshoot die-related issues to minimize production downtime.
- Repair, modify, and improve progressive and sheet metal dies.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and tool designs.
- Ensure die quality and dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments.
- Coordinate with the production and quality teams for smooth operations.
Requirements:
- ITI Fitter / Tool & Die Maker or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Die Fitter in an automotive or sheet metal manufacturing company.
- Good knowledge of press tools, progressive dies, and die maintenance.
- Ability to use Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a quality-focused approach. Typical automotive die fitter roles require experience with die assembly, maintenance, technical drawings, and precision measuring tools.
