Responsibility
The Store Manager is responsible for the complete control and management of all materials used in the dyeing unit, including dyes, chemicals, yarn/fabric, spare parts, packing materials, PPE and general consumables.
Material Receipt & Verification
- Receive all incoming materials and verify against Purchase Order, Invoice and Delivery Challan.
- Check quantity, material specification, batch number and physical condition.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Quality and Accounts for material verification and GRN.
Dyes & Chemical Store
- Maintain proper stock of dyes, chemicals, auxiliaries and other dyeing chemicals.
- Ensure proper identification, labeling and segregation of chemicals.
- Maintain MSDS/SDS and chemical-related records.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO wherever applicable.
- Ensure safe storage of hazardous and incompatible chemicals.
Fabric / Grey Material Store
- Maintain proper records of grey fabric received and issued to Dyeing.
- Ensure batch-wise identification and traceability.
- Coordinate with Production and Planning for material requirements.
- Avoid fabric mix-up and ensure proper storage conditions.
Spare Parts & Consumables
- Control stock of mechanical, electrical and maintenance spares.
- Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels for critical spares.
- Ensure timely availability of essential materials to Maintenance and Production.
Material Issue
- Issue dyes, chemicals, fabric, spares and consumables only against authorized Material Requisition / Issue Slip.
- Maintain proper department-wise consumption records.
- Ensure correct quantity and material is issued to the respective department.
Stock Control
- Maintain accurate physical stock and ERP/register records.
- Conduct daily/weekly/monthly stock verification as required.
- Investigate and report stock shortages, excesses and discrepancies.
- Monitor slow-moving, non-moving and obsolete materials.
- Prepare monthly stock reports for Management.
Dyeing Production Coordination
- Coordinate with the Dyeing Manager, Planning, Purchase, Quality and Production teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Monitor daily chemical and dye requirements based on the production plan.
- Inform Purchase/Management in advance about critical stock shortages.
Pay: Up to ₹42,014.10 per month
