Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled ITI Technician to support the installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of solar power plants, including modules, inverters, transformers, cables, and associated electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out installation, testing, and commissioning of solar PV systems and related electrical equipment.
- Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance of solar plants.
- Monitor the performance of solar systems and identify faults or generation losses.
- Troubleshoot and rectify issues related to solar modules, inverters, junction boxes, string combiner boxes (SCBs), AC/DC distribution boards, and cabling.
- Assist in module cleaning schedules and ensure optimal plant performance.
- Conduct electrical testing using multimeters, insulation resistance testers (megger), clamp meters, and other instruments.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and daily generation reports.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices, and use of PPE.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and vendors during maintenance and project activities.
- Support emergency breakdown maintenance and attend site calls as required.
Qualifications
- ITI Certificate in Electrician, Wireman, Electronics Mechanic, Electrician (Power Distribution), Instrument Mechanic, or a related trade.
- 0–3 years of experience in the solar, electrical, power, or industrial maintenance sector. Fresh ITI graduates may also be considered.
- Basic understanding of solar PV systems, electrical wiring, and power distribution.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of solar PV components and their operation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and wiring schematics.
- Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and report preparation.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and work in outdoor conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in rooftop or utility-scale solar projects.
- Basic understanding of SCADA or remote monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices for solar plants.
- Valid electrical license or safety certifications will be an added advantage.

- Timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Reduction in equipment downtime and fault resolution time.

- Accuracy of maintenance records and reporting.
Working Conditions:
- Field-based role involving outdoor work at solar project sites.
- May require work at heights, shift duties, and occasional travel.
- Must be physically fit to perform installation and maintenance activities safely.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
