- MBBS with MD/DNB in Emergency Medicine and 3-4 years experience, BLS and ACLS certified
- Assess, diagnose, and manage acute emergencies; perform emergency procedures; lead resuscitation and coordinate patient care
- assess, diagnose, stabilize, and manage patients presenting with acute and life-threatening medical conditions.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS from a recognized medical institution.
- MD/DNB in Emergency Medicine or an equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Perform timely triage and clinical prioritization of emergency patients based on the severity of their condition.
- Manage a wide range of emergencies, including medical, surgical, trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, pediatric, and toxicological emergencies as per competency.
- Lead and participate in BLS/ACLS resuscitation, cardiac arrest management, and other emergency response situations.
- Perform emergency procedures such as airway management, endotracheal intubation, suturing, wound management, vascular access, splinting, and other procedures within the scope of practice.
- Evaluate and interpret laboratory, radiological, ECG, and other diagnostic investigations to support timely clinical decision-making.
- Initiate appropriate emergency treatment, medications, and interventions based on established clinical protocols.
- Continuously monitor and reassess critically ill or unstable patients and promptly modify the treatment plan as required.
- Coordinate with specialists, intensivists, surgeons, anesthetists, and other clinical teams for appropriate patient management.
- Ensure timely admission, ICU transfer, surgical referral, interventional procedures, or specialty consultation for patients requiring further care.
- Make appropriate and safe discharge decisions for patients who do not require hospitalization, with clear treatment, medication, and follow-up instructions.
- Ensure appropriate clinical handover of patients being transferred to the ICU, wards, OT, diagnostic areas, or other healthcare facilities.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, procedures, investigations, and clinical outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients and attendants regarding the patient's condition, treatment plan, investigations, risks, and disposition.
- Handle difficult and sensitive situations in the ER professionally and escalate medico-legal or high-risk cases to the appropriate authority.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control practices, emergency protocols, patient-safety standards, and hospital policies.
- Participate in Code Blue, trauma response, mass-casualty management, disaster preparedness, and emergency drills.
- Support and mentor junior doctors, medical officers, residents, and other ER staff in emergency assessment and management.
- Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, quality-improvement projects, protocol development, and continuing medical education.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day clinical functioning of the Emergency Room and contribute to maintaining high standards of patient care, professionalism, and service quality.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
